Community Outreach

The SEEDS – Blacksburg Nature Center allows SEEDS teachers, interns, and college service learning students the opportunity to work on independent projects, class projects, and field studies with the organization. A goal is to do inspiring work that benefits the community.

Through the VT Department of Biological Sciences Outreach Program (VT SOuP), we offer nature-themed teaching kits, on loan to local teachers, and work with schools and home schooling groups on providing supplemental curriculum for your inquisitive students.

Summer Field Camps

Since 1995, SEEDS has taught week-long summer day camps and programs. We explore cool places and discover the region's ecological and cultural value and have lots of fun! Co-ed Sessions. Full day for 8-10yrs. & 10-14yrs. old.
